Plot

"Touching the Void" recounts the harrowing true tale of climbers Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, who faced a life-threatening ordeal during their ascent of Siula Grande, a towering peak at 6,344 meters in the Cordillera Huayhuash of the Peruvian Andes, in 1985. As they navigated treacherous terrain, an accident left Simpson gravely injured and stranded. Yates was forced to make an agonizing decision to save himself, leading to a dramatic struggle for survival against the odds. The film captures the intense physical and emotional challenges they faced in their fight to return to safety.
