Plot

Set in 2053, space exploration has become a private venture, leading to a surge in accidents. To address this, insurance companies formed Cosmic Rescue (CR), tasked with saving victims from interstellar mishaps and clearing hazardous debris. Captain Nanjou Satoshi leads CR Shift Division 89, alongside his loyal mechanic Eguchi Ryo and impulsive rookie Sawada Azuma. Their routine shifts when Azuma picks up an emergency beacon from a young girl. As they rush to investigate, their ship vanishes from radar, resulting in their dismissal. Now, they must uncover the truth behind the disappearance before it costs them everything.
