Plot
A young couple in pre-war Italy welcomes a baby boy, but the father's jealousy leads to a fateful decision. The scene shifts to ancient times, where the infant is abandoned in the desert, destined for death. Miraculously saved, he becomes Oedipus, raised as the son of Corinth's royal couple. When an oracle reveals his tragic fate—to kill his father and wed his mother—Oedipus, horrified, escapes from Corinth. His journey takes a dark turn when he encounters an older man on the road, leading to a deadly confrontation that sets his tragic destiny in motion.
