A young woman wanders the urban landscape in search of shelter for the night. During her journey, she encounters devoted young mothers who cherish their role, spends time with an abstinent existentialist who views intimacy as merely transactional, and finds herself at a drag bar, contemplating capitalism's demise. Her aspiration to pen a book stalls after just one sentence into the second chapter, as she navigates through art galleries, yoga studios, and unfamiliar beds. Rather than conforming, she begins to see her depression as a matter of political significance.
