Plot

Jesse Hughes, also known as Boots Electric and "The Devil," is a multifaceted figure—guitarist, frontman of Eagles of Death Metal, and man of faith. VICE's documentary, The Redemption of the Devil, chronicles his journey as he becomes a Catholic minister and navigates a passionate relationship with an ex-porn star. Simultaneously, he dives into politics and battles for custody of his child. Amidst these personal challenges, Jesse prepares for the long-awaited release of his first album since 2008, collaborating with childhood friend Josh Homme, the lead of Queens of the Stone Age.
