Rita the American Girl (1965)

Plot

Professor Serafino Benvenuti, a dedicated conductor of classical music, finds himself at a crossroads as the youthful audience of the 1960s turns away from the masterpieces of Mozart and Beethoven. His world shifts when he learns that Rita, his adopted daughter, is returning from America, where she has embraced the contemporary sounds of rock and blues. Serafino eagerly anticipates sharing his passion for classical music with her, but his excitement quickly turns to frustration upon discovering her new musical tastes and her budding romance with a member of the band "The Rockets."
