Plot

David Crowley, an Iraq veteran and aspiring filmmaker, embarked on his ambitious project, Gray State, in 2010. The film, depicting a dystopian future where civil liberties are suppressed by an authoritarian government, gained traction through a crowd-funded trailer that resonated with libertarians, Tea Party members, and rising alt-right supporters. However, tragedy struck in January 2015 when Crowley and his family were discovered dead in their Minnesota home. Their mysterious deaths ignited a whirlwind of conspiracy theories, with many suggesting that Crowley was silenced by a government threatened by his provocative work.
