Plot

Set in 17th-century Poland, a young nobleman and knight, Błażej Wronowski, embarks on a journey of military training under the guidance of Jan Jerlicz, a seasoned veteran of the Moscow War. Encouraged by his old friend Jerzy Wronowski, Jerlicz returns to his homeland to mentor Błażej. The narrative unfolds themes of honor and courage as it captures the challenges and growth of a young knight navigating the complexities of life and warfare in the former Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. As Błażej matures, he learns what it truly means to wield a saber in a tumultuous era.
