Plot
Set in the tumultuous early 1860s New York, "Gangs of New York" follows Irish immigrant Amsterdam Vallon, who emerges from prison determined to avenge his father’s murder by William Cutting, the ruthless leader of an anti-immigrant gang. To achieve his goal, Vallon must first embed himself within Cutting’s ranks. His quest transforms into a struggle not only for vengeance but also for the survival and recognition of the Irish community amidst the chaos of the Five Points. As he delves deeper into this violent world, Vallon confronts the harsh realities of loyalty and betrayal.
