Plot

Amidst the fervor of 1969, Sawada, an idealistic journalist, begins his career at a weekly magazine, embracing the spirit of the times. His path crosses with activist Umeyama during an interview alongside seasoned reporter Nakahira. Umeyama's bold claims about his group's plans to seize weapons and initiate action in April intrigue Sawada, even as he questions their credibility. Tensions rise when a shocking incident unfolds, leading Sawada to learn of a man's death at an army post, forcing him to confront the harsh realities of activism and journalism in a tumultuous era.
