Plot
Maddie and Nate, once high school sweethearts, find themselves reunited when Nate returns to their hometown to teach at the local hospital. Although Maddie is still nursing wounds from their past breakup, their initial tension evolves into a supportive friendship. As Nate aids Maddie in obtaining funding to grow her cupcake business, sparks reignite between them. Just as their romance blossoms, Nate receives a tempting job offer in Boston. Heartbroken, Maddie returns the promise ring, while Nate grapples with the choice between his career aspirations and the love he left behind.
