Plot
Set in Rome during 1984, nine-year-old Aria grapples with her tumultuous family life as her parents are preoccupied with their crumbling marriage and personal pursuits. Unlike her two pampered sisters, Aria faces emotional neglect, longing for affection and acceptance. Though she excels in academics, her peers see her as an outsider. Finding solace in her cat Dac and her best friend Angelica, she navigates loneliness and heartbreak. When circumstances lead to her being cast out by her family and abandoned by her friend, Aria confronts her pain and makes a surprising choice that could change everything.
