Plot
Jack Thornton struggles to raise enough money for a trip to the Alaskan gold fields, but his fortunes shift after he spends $250 on Buck, a part-wolf sled dog destined to be shot by a boastful Englishman. Teaming up with Shorty Houlihan, a man with a criminal past linked to a treasure map, Jack embarks on a journey to the Yukon. Along the way, he rescues Claire Blake, the wife of the letter's intended recipient. With Buck's help, Jack wins a crucial $1,000 bet, while a tender moment between him and Claire adds an unexpected layer to their adventure.
