Plot
In 1902, Australia is still finding its footing as a new federation. Twelve-year-old Tom and his sister Sarah have been taken to a remote farm by their father, Nat, whose aspirations of self-sufficiency have crumbled, leaving him increasingly unstable. One night, three former soldiers show up at their secluded cabin, and Tom, influenced by his father's delusions, sees them as a sign of hope. As tensions rise and reality blurs, the family's fragile world is threatened by the arrival of these unexpected guests.
