Plot

A young couple, shaken by Sir Elton John's unsuccessful adoption attempt, embarks on a quest to determine their readiness for parenthood and the criteria governing biological and adoptive parents. Their journey spans Nepal, Ukraine, China, the UK, and the USA, exposing them to the pervasive corruption within the adoption system and the vast sums of money fueling it. Along the way, they encounter both successful and failed adopters, revealing the harsh realities of discrimination based on race, weight, and personal habits. Their findings highlight how easily the right to parenthood can be stripped away, prompting a critical examination of existing regulations.
