Plot

Dash Snow turned his back on a privileged upbringing to carve out his identity as an artist amid the gritty streets of late 1990s New York City. Emerging from a life of graffiti tagging, he blossomed into an acclaimed art figure, chronicling his wild nights filled with drugs and alcohol alongside a close-knit circle of friends, including fellow artists Ryan McGinley and Dan Colen. Cheryl Dunn’s poignant documentary weaves together Snow's striking artwork and archival material, offering an intimate look at his vibrant, yet tragically short life, which ended in a heroin overdose in 2009.
