Babes in the Woods (1932)

Plot

Two Dutch siblings unexpectedly discover a clearing filled with friendly gnomes in the woods. Their adventure takes a dark turn when a witch arrives, whisking them away to her gingerbread house. Once there, her demeanor shifts as she transforms the boy into a spider and her own cat into stone, while plotting to turn the girl into a rat. Just as she attempts her wicked spell, a gnome's arrow intervenes. Amidst the chaos, Hansel and Gretl rally to rescue other enchanted children trapped by the witch’s malevolent magic.
