John Light, a notorious inmate in Arizona's State Penitentiary, shocks everyone by embracing Christianity during a prison bible study. Eager to spread his newfound faith after being released, he faces a harsh reality; his intimidating appearance frightens those around him. With society reluctant to accept him, John finds support in his gentle Christian mentor, Matt Garrett, and his pragmatic parole officer.
