Plot

Set against the backdrop of 1960s Johannesburg, a young girl named Molly Roth navigates the complexities of apartheid. When her father narrowly escapes arrest and her mother is subsequently taken by authorities, Molly finds herself grappling with the harsh realities of her divided world. As some White friends turn against her, the significance of her family's ties with Black individuals becomes painfully clear. In a society where relationships are precarious, Molly must find a way to understand her family's struggles and her own identity amid the turmoil surrounding her.
