Plot
In "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," seasoned con artist Lawrence Jamieson has made a opulent coastal resort his playground, reveling in the spoils of his elaborate schemes. However, his tranquil life is disrupted by the arrival of Freddy Benson, a brash newcomer whose crude methods clash with Lawrence's refined style. Mistakenly believing Freddy to be the notorious conman known as 'The Jackal,' Lawrence decides to eliminate the competition. He proposes a high-stakes contest: the first to con American heiress Janet Colgate out of $50,000 wins the right to stay, while the loser must leave the idyllic locale.
