In New Jersey, the Good Grief community offers a unique approach to navigating loss, allowing children to express their emotions in imaginative ways. From unleashing anger in the ‘volcano room’ to bidding farewell to a beloved teddy bear in ‘the hospital room,’ the program fosters healing and understanding. Over a year, we get to know Kimmy, Nicky, Peter, Nora, Nolan, and Mikayla, as they grapple with their profound grief. Their journey is poignant yet infused with humor, revealing the complexities of life and death through their candid and inquisitive perspectives. Grief looms large, but it also illuminates the path toward acceptance.
