Plot

Vera Parks, a driven Broadway director known for her high standards, faces another setback when she loses her latest job. Reluctantly, she accepts an offer to helm a Christmas pageant in a quaint upstate New York town. Initially put off by the simplicity of the production, Vera is persuaded by the locals to embrace the opportunity. As she immerses herself in the project, the town's warmth wins her over. However, her anger flares when she learns her ex-fiancé, Jack, recommended her. As their relationship rekindles and she bonds with his daughter, Vera starts to reconsider love's role in her life.
