Plot

On Blackpool's bustling Golden Mile, Jim (Douglass Montgomery), a former scientist turned patent medicine vendor, partners with his ex-soldier friend Dan (Ronald Shiner) to sell hair tonic at the fair. After a confrontation with local thugs over their stall, Jim finds himself drawn to Jane (Hazel Court), a charming vendor of candy floss. Their romance blossoms, but Jim neglects to disclose an important detail—he is still married. As their relationship develops, tensions rise, leading to complications that challenge Jim's integrity and future.
