Plot

In the summer of 1914, as mobilization begins, Filipek is an apprentice at a winery. After being dismissed by the owner, he decides to join the newly formed legions. During his enlistment process, he encounters Jerzy Recki, a university dropout from Switzerland who is eager to fight. From that moment on, the two become inseparable companions.
