Plot

Showgirl Jill Deverne navigates the vibrant, bustling world of Broadway alongside her husband, songwriter Fred Deverne. Their glamorous life takes a turn when Jill attracts the attention of a gangster, leading to her departure from Fred after he spends the night with another woman. As she becomes entangled in the gangster’s dangerous lifestyle, the allure of the high life quickly fades. Disillusioned by her new role as a moll, Jill grapples with the consequences of her choices and the emptiness that accompanies her glamorous existence.
