Plot

Alex Kerner's mother remained in a coma during the collapse of the Berlin Wall. Upon her awakening, Alex faces the challenge of shielding her from the dramatic changes that have occurred, as she was a devoted communist. Fearing that the shock of the new reality could cause her health to deteriorate again, he concocts an elaborate scheme to maintain the illusion of the past and protect her from the truth about the world outside.
