The Flying Mouse (1934)

Plot

Inspired by the song "I Would Like to Be a Bird," a young mouse crafts wings out of leaves, much to the delight of his siblings, who laugh as he struggles to fly. After saving a butterfly from a spider, he discovers that she’s a fairy and grants him a wish for wings. However, his bat-like form doesn’t blend in with the birds or his fellow mice, leaving him isolated. Even the bats join in the teasing, leaving him feeling more alone than ever.
