Miss Philippines (1947)

Plot

LVN Pictures, a prominent production company, launches a contest to discover the next female star, calling it Miss Philippines. A young woman, the daughter of a struggling laundry worker, feigns wealth to compete in the pageant. To maintain her charade, she and her mother take over a lavish home belonging to a wealthy couple who are away, leaving their playboy son to return unexpectedly. He decides to play along with the deception, leading to a blend of humor and drama as the ruse unfolds.
