Plot

Marcos lives a quiet life as a ranch hand, supporting his family alongside his father and brother. While they tackle the demanding chores, he remains at home with his mother, eagerly awaiting Carnival, the time when he can express his true identity. Tragedy strikes with the unexpected death of his father, leaving the family precariously exposed. The ranch owner pressures them to leave, and Marcos’s mother insists he take on the labor. Known as Marilyn among his peers, Marcos becomes a focal point of both admiration and prejudice in his small town.
