Plot

Set against a gritty quayside backdrop of desperation and vice, a beggar steals a dazzling pearl necklace, igniting a perilous chain of events. A prostitute witnesses the theft and convinces her jobless friend to reclaim the necklace, leading to devastating repercussions.
