Lucky Life (2010)

Plot

A close-knit group of friends heads to the coast to support Jason, who has just received a terminal cancer diagnosis. Their trip, filled with nostalgia and unspoken emotions, serves as a bittersweet farewell, as they deliberately sidestep discussions about his illness. Later, as Mark and Karen consider starting a family, echoes of that beach getaway haunt them, reminding them of fleeting moments and shared histories. The story draws inspiration from Gerald Stern's poetry, blending themes of friendship, loss, and the passage of time.
