Plot

Eight-year-old Victoria, a young Black girl from a modest home, unexpectedly spends a night with her affluent classmate Thomas's family. Years later, they cross paths again, revealing Marie, the result of their brief connection. Choosing to raise her daughter alone, Victoria keeps Thomas in the dark about their child. As Marie approaches her seventh birthday, Victoria yearns for a brighter future for her daughter.
