Plot

Every morning, Krilli meticulously prepares the ingredients for his signature lobster soup at Bryggjan café, a quaint spot in Iceland's least exciting town. His wife assists in the kitchen, dreaming of life in Reykjavik. Meanwhile, Krilli’s brother Alli shares stories with local fishermen, an aging boxer, and a translator of Don Quixote, as they seek profound answers to life's mysteries. Monthly, neighbors gather to honor the deceased from Grindavik. Amidst jazz from eccentric musicians and curious tourists, the café becomes a refuge of authenticity, contrasting sharply with the nearby Blue Lagoon, a draw for visitors enchanted by Iceland’s natural wonders.
