Plot

Set in the late 18th century, smuggling has become a common side gig for fishermen along the British coast. However, chaos ensues when a ruthless gang, led by the notorious Black John (Bernard Lee), starts wrecking ships at Smugglers' Bay and killing their crews for treasure. The fishermen, fearing for their safety and livelihoods, turn to Squire Trevenyan (Peter Cushing), the local magistrate, for help. As tensions rise, the community must confront the danger posed by Black John's ruthless band and reclaim their waters.
