Plot

Pablo escapes his tumultuous past in Burma, seeking solace in British Ceylon. There, he becomes captivated by a young pariah woman who performs menial tasks near his home. To him, she embodies an ethereal beauty. One fateful morning, he impulsively takes her hand, inviting her into his bed. As their relationship develops, she seems bewildered and resigned to her circumstances, unable to grasp the strange turn of events that follows. Their connection unravels against the backdrop of societal norms and personal turmoil, leading to unforeseen consequences.
