Plot
Amos T. Huxley, a deceitful preacher, sets up shop in a quaint North Carolina town with ulterior motives. He quickly exploits his unsuspecting congregation, siphoning off donations, pilfering profits from a nearby moonshine operation, and charming the naive Mary Lou. As Huxley’s schemes unfold, Mary Lou’s former boyfriend grows wary of the preacher's intentions and takes it upon himself to alert the local authorities. The tension escalates as the community begins to uncover the truth behind Huxley’s charismatic facade.
