Plot

The Khmer Rouge's brutal regime claimed nearly two million lives in the late 1970s, leaving the harrowing Killing Fields shrouded in mystery. Thet Sambath, a tenacious investigative journalist, dedicates a decade to uncovering the truth by building rapport with the very perpetrators of these atrocities. Through chilling interviews with everyone from foot soldiers to Pol Pot's infamous Brother Number Two, he reveals harrowing testimonies previously unheard. While pursuing justice for his own lost family, Sambath confronts the heavy toll of his quest, ultimately shedding light on Cambodia's dark history and the personal stories intertwined with it.
