Plot

As the battle for Tobruk intensifies in June 1942, U.S. Army sergeant Joe Gunn maneuvers his tank into the vast Sahara desert, seeking refuge from Rommel's advancing troops and aiming to reach the Allied forces. Along his perilous journey, he gathers a small group of Allied soldiers, but their water supply dwindles dangerously low. They discover an ancient well, only to find it targeted by a German battalion. Faced with overwhelming odds, Sergeant Gunn makes a bold decision to defend the well, risking everything for survival.
