Plot
Thirteen-year-old Marta moves from Switzerland back to her Southern Italian hometown with her mother and older sister. Curious and spirited, she enrolls in a local catechism class, only to find that the playful activities and catchy religious songs fail to quench her thirst for deeper spiritual understanding. As she navigates her new environment, Marta challenges the expectations of her peers, the priest, and the church itself, all while seeking her own identity and beliefs amidst the confines of tradition.
