Plot

America's inaugural mountain endurance race, the Mount Baker Marathon, unfolds in Bellingham, Washington, where the challenge of a 28 to 32-mile trek to the glacial peak of Mount Baker captivated runners from 1911 to 1913. Despite its thrilling allure, the event was short-lived due to its perilous nature. Blending documentary and drama, this film utilizes archival photographs, historical footage, and innovative visual effects, alongside dramatized segments featuring William B. Davis, to bring the race's rich history to life and explore the spirit of adventure that drove those early athletes.
