Plot

Late at night, rancher Bill Greer and his son Jackson patrol their property when a tragic accident occurs, resulting in Jackson shooting a Mexican boy. To protect his son, Bill offers to take the blame, prompting Jackson to escape into Mexico on horseback. Now branded as an outsider, he finds himself pursued by both Texas Rangers and Mexican authorities. As he traverses the country in search of redemption from the boy's grieving father, Jackson unexpectedly discovers a deep affection for the land he was raised to despise.
