Plot

Amidst the turmoil of 1161, Wanyan Liang, emperor of the Jurchen Jin Dynasty, plotted an invasion of the Southern Song Dynasty, leaving the Central Plain's inhabitants in desperate straits due to harsh recruitment policies. At just 21, Xin Qiji rallied the villagers to resist the Jin forces and later joined a prominent volunteer army commanded by Geng Jing, achieving significant victories. By 1162, Xin sought to unite the Song Emperor and reclaim lost territories. However, after Geng's betrayal and death shattered morale, Xin and his 50 loyal followers faced a daunting challenge against Wanyan Basu's formidable 50,000-strong army.
