Plot

Mike Windgren, a struggling boat worker in Acapulco, faces dismissal after a confrontation with the owner's spoiled daughter. Undeterred, he secures a job as a lifeguard and singer at a nearby hotel. Complications arise when he crosses paths with a competitive lifeguard, who also happens to be Mexico’s diving champion. The rivalry escalates, testing Mike’s resolve and talents in both lifesaving and music, as he navigates his new life in the vibrant coastal town.
