Plot
Deepak (Pradeep Kumar), an unemployed man, heroically rescues Aarti Gupta (Meena Kumari), a devoted doctor, from drowning, igniting a passionate romance despite her engagement to Dr. Prakash (Ashok Kumar). Defying her father’s wishes, Aarti marries Deepak and joins his bustling household, which includes his brother Niranjan (Ramesh Deo) and their children. Prakash, spurned and vengeful, seeks to disrupt their happiness, leading Deepak to ask Aarti to leave. When tragedy strikes and Deepak suffers a serious accident, Prakash becomes the only surgeon capable of saving him, forcing a confrontation between past loyalties and present realities.
