On September 11, 2001, photojournalist and filmmaker Andrea Booher was granted unprecedented access by Mayor Giuliani, becoming one of only two photographers permitted around the clock at Ground Zero. Tasked with documenting the efforts of Urban Search & Rescue teams, her mission centered on capturing the poignant and desperate search for survivors amidst the chaos.
