Plot
Set in the Bronx in 1964, two Catholic school nuns confront the unsettling dynamics surrounding the newly appointed priest and a troubled African-American student. As suspicions grow about the priest's intentions, Sister Aloysius, a strict and determined figure, takes it upon herself to investigate, seeking to protect the student from potential harm. Sister James, more naive and compassionate, finds herself torn between loyalty and doubt. Their intense moral conflict escalates, challenging their beliefs and exposing the complexities of faith, authority, and the quest for truth within a rigid institution.
