Plot
Set in 19th century France, "Les Misérables" follows Jean Valjean, a former convict who served time for stealing a loaf of bread. After breaking parole, he becomes the target of the unyielding Inspector Javert, whose obsession with capturing Valjean drives both their fates. As Valjean seeks redemption and a new life, he becomes embroiled in the tumultuous student uprisings sweeping across the country, where ideals of justice and freedom clash against oppression.
