Plot

As India navigates its early independence, Steve Gibbs arrives in Ghandahar province with ambitions of wealth from his arms-dealing venture. While Prime Minister Singh strives for peace with guerrilla leader Khan, the local maharajah remains oblivious to the changing times, and British expatriates cling to outdated ideals. Amidst the political turmoil, Steve finds himself drawn to Joan Willoughby, the blind daughter of a local parson, complicating his quest for fortune. The clash of cultures and personal aspirations unfolds against a backdrop of a nation in transition.
