Plot

Forestry student Anja Grimm returns to the Upper Palatinate Forest, a site of childhood memories marked by her father's mysterious disappearance. Tasked with mapping the soil, she uncovers strange irregularities that lead to a shocking murder shortly after her arrival. Her probing questions about the crime and her father's fate stir distrust among the villagers and even the police, who remain aloof. As Anja's ability to read the forest reveals troubling truths, she faces escalating danger from those determined to protect a sinister secret buried within the woods.
