Plot

After a car bomb detonates on the U.S.-Mexico border, Mexican drug enforcement agent Miguel Vargas launches an inquiry, teaming up with American police captain Hank Quinlan. As Vargas delves deeper, he starts to believe that Quinlan and his dubious associate, Menzies, are manipulating evidence to wrongfully accuse an innocent individual. This discovery threatens not only Vargas's investigation but also endangers him and his newlywed wife, Susie.
